Welcome

Sarah Sinray, MSc., RCC of Enliven Counselling offers professional & compassionate individual and group counselling services in the Cowichan Valley and Victoria, BC. Sessions can also be conducted online if the person lives in BC.  Sarah keeps up-to-date with evolving knowledge and research in Psychology through regular training and has an evidence-based approach that is practical and aligned with the needs of the individual.  She enjoys engaging in inquiry around spirituality and grappling with big philosophical questions in life, balanced by practicality and creating real and noticeable changes.

Those who have never experienced counselling before often think about it a long time before they decide to try it out.  And there isn't a lot out there really capturing what the process is like.  In fact, movies and other cultural references are often quite different from the real thing.  The best thing to do is send an email or talk on the phone with a counsellor to find out how they work and whether their approach resonates with you. To read more about how Sarah works see here.  It's in everyone's interest for there to be a good fit, so counsellors will often let you know who works best with what you're going through if it's not within their expertise.  Explore this website and feel free to contact Sarah to learn more!

*Please note that I am seeing all clients over videoconferencing at present (Zoom platform).*

Sarah is also a registered therapist with The Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) which is a government-funded program that covers counselling services costs to help individuals recover from the effects of traumatic events. If you or an immediate family member have been victimized by violence, including physical or sexual abuse, or you have been a witness to such crimes, you may be eligible for financial assistance to cover therapy costs. Even if you’re not sure if you have been a victim of crime, you can call VictimLink BC at 1-800-563-0808 for assistance.

Sarah Sinray is a member in good standing with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). She adheres to the ethical codes of this professional group.
